Foundation
The foundation "Art in Africa” was established by the German Commission for UNESCO on December 14th 2005, on the occasion of the opening night of AFRIKA! AFRIKA!.
The foundation was being funded with the admission tickets for AFRIKA! AFRIKA! One Euro of the revenue of each ticket went to the foundation, building up sustainable capital reserves that are professionally managed; its yields are employed to sustainably support art and cultural projects in Africa. The foundation's capital will be complemented by donations and endowment contributions that are also supposed to realise the foundation's objectives.
